I’m sure the clubs Tiger is at in South Florida require a cart or a caddie.
Pretty sure he doesn’t want every practice move documemented via the caddieworld gossip line which is rarely accurate and a real thing.

The wrongful seduction of(see below)…. and developers either having different objectives or being too naive to question, or both

    “18 Signature Holes”
    “Elevated tees being better”
    “Downhill holes being better”
“6-8 sets of tees because so everyone can play the “appropriate tees”
Real Estate routings being embraced or tolerated rather than rejected
Modern equipment’s effects on existing and new courses
Architects recognizing there was less money in doing less, especially if they own the construction company

    No doubt they do.
Hard for some operations to justify having the cart to get people out to the hole, and not charging for it.
We are “walking only” and only have 20 carts and stage many players on holes near the clubhouse-doubling up on one and 10. Requires quite a bit more management during a full shotgun..
WE also anounce that the cart is merely to get them to their holes, and that they are walking-cart usage must be preapproved for medical or over age 65.
Nonetheless, inevitably it’s too tempting for many and there are almost always more carts in use than approved-especially when using caddies imported from other clubs for the day.
Amazing how many people show up for a shotgun with Rodney Dangerfield bags with 100 balls.

    Great info Eric. Thanks
Interesting about the courses down near the airport, an area I’ve never played golf in.
Most of the courses I have played are north of the city anr very predictable development cartball courses with the golf in the valley and hosues on the high points.
(St. Ives, Golf Club of Georgia)
Played Dunwwody in the State Am many years ago-seemed pretty good and no doubt we were walking but can’remember.
I’ve seen great things on GCA about Rivermont as well-don’t know about its walkability.

I had lunch with Rob Collins a couple weeks ago and he made same invite (plus Sweetens) so maybe we can figure out a date.

    Eric,
    Nice offer thanks.
What courses are great in Atlanta?
Grew up in Geaorgia and never saw much decent in Atlanta
