Heads up to anyone in SE Michigan who is planning to play Pierce Lake in Chelsea. They generally charge a lower rate to walk (a rarity in the Detroit area, unfortunately), but if you book a tee time online, they’ll try to charge you the cart rate. Their booking system is through GolfNow, and there’s no walking option when you book online. Fortunately, when I checked in, the guy charged me the walking rate, and then later they couldn’t figure out how to change it. Judging by the number of other walkers I saw out there (zero), it doesn’t come up much, I’m guessing.

Here’s the new ones I have scheduled that I know about at this point (all in Michigan):
    Travis Pointe CC (GAM 4-ball)
    The Loop (both ways)
    The Medalist
    Angels Crossing
    Bay Pointe

Hopefully some others will happen, in addition to these. I’m hoping to qualify for the Michigan Am, which is at Oakland Hills North. Also hoping to get up to play the South at Arcadia, but I need to get that worked out.

Hi Ben, Forest Dunes & the Loop both allow push carts, I believe.

In California, I’m not sure if these qualify as high end, but Rustic Canyon in the L.A. area allows them and I’m pretty sure I saw push carts at Poppy Hills.

A few that come to mind:
    Egypt Valley and Founders
Hawk’s Eye (or Cedar River) and Short’s
Birmingham CC (or Oakland Hills, if I’m dreaming) and Griffin Claw
    Eagle Eye and Old Nation
Kingsley Club & Brewery Terra Firma
Greywalls and Black Rocks (I’m going on reputation alone for both – heard great things about the course, and Black Rocks makes some great beers)
