They generally charge a lower rate to walk (a rarity in the Detroit area, unfortunately), but if you book a tee time online, they’ll try to charge you the cart rate. Their booking system is through GolfNow, and there’s no walking option when you book online. Fortunately, when I checked in, the guy charged me the walking rate, and then later they couldn’t figure out how to change it. Judging by the number of other walkers I saw out there (zero), it doesn’t come up much, I’m guessing.

Looking at courses in Muskegon area – has anyone played Lincoln Golf Club, Chase Hammond or Moss Ridge, if so, opinions?
I hear good things about Lincoln Hills GC, used to be private. Hemlock is solid, it is riding only though. Haven’t heard of the other 2.
